Crown of Serpents
06:15
|
|||
Behold the dread queen of gorgons,
Spirit of hate made flesh;
Forged of Poseidon's callous defilement
In the temple of Athena.
Banished to dwell in the shadows;
Cursed by Athena, sage divine,
A crown of serpents she wears upon
A countenance of venom so cold.
Spirit of hate
Queen of gorgons
Medusa
Serpent marauder
Gaze upon her cold dead eyes
And turn to stone, never again
To see the sun or walk the earth,
Forever a monument to scorn.
Created by caprice of the gods,
A mask of terror so vile she wears.
Medusa, the spurned, queen of gorgons,
Look upon thine enemies with glee.

Born in a Cage
05:07
|
|||
Born in a cage, a slave of man, —
The stench of urine in the air —
Mutilated commodities
Waiting for the slaughter.
See her walk upon the lifeless
Carcasses of her ill-fated kin
On broken and infected talons,
Her beak cut short.
Hear him wailing and shrieking.
First they took his manhood,
Then his tail, and now, for good measure,
His teeth are filed down.
The human wears earprotection,
It's only humane, of course.
Some antibiotics and he's
Ready for the final ride.
We are the masters that drive the whip —
With every purchase it cracks —
And they the subjugated slaves, born to die;
And we cannot even bear to look at them.
Born in a cage,
Slaves of men.

Deiphage
04:21
|
|||
King of titans, god of time,
All-devouring ruler of kosmos,
Castrated and deposed
Ouranos, who was the sky.
A prophecy spelled Kronos's doom:
In turn he would be overthrown
By the seed of his loins
And imprisoned in the deep abyss.
Demeter, Hestia, Hera,
Hades and Poseidon,
Sired of his seed,
He devoured, body and soul.
When the sixth child, Zeus, was born,
Rhea, the tide, hid the child.
Hidden from earth, sea and sky,
Zeus would grow and thrive.
Prophesied usurper,
Lord of Olympos,
Cast his father, the infantophage,
Into the darkness of the deep sea.

Hades
03:31
|
|||
Cthonic ruler of the damned,
Lord and keeper of the realm
Where the dead forever dwell,
Hades, god of darkness enthroned.
To you she walks a mournful procession,
Persephone, queen of the dead.
Each year she comes to you in exile
And winter drapes the land in sorrow.
The earth-kin dare not speak your name,
Lest they call themselves to your attention.
For those that enter your domain
May never leave that palace of rot.
Forever in Hades they dwell,
The souls of the dead.
Enshrined in darkness,
In Hades they dwell.

House of the Horned
05:59
|
|||
Wandering the lightless catacombs of his oubliette,
Son of Minos banished forever to the dark.
Pay homage to the dread Minotaur with the blood of your blood.
Cursed abomination fed by human sacrifice.
Sins of the father, Minos, atoned by the son.
A sacrifice owed to the god of the tides
Condemned his progeny to a form unholy,
Banished to roam the cursed labyrinth.
There he dwells,
In the darkness.
On human flesh
He feeds.
Nursed as a babe by his mother, Pasiphaë,
Until he grew in size and became ferocious.
Unnatural offspring of woman and beast,
Devouring human flesh.
The oracle of Delphi spoke to Minos:
A labyrinth was to hold the abomination.
There he would live and die, in the shadows of his prison,
And be killed at last, a bitter sweet salvation.
There he dwelled,
In the darkness,
Tortured soul,
The Minotaur.
